Ron Paul and Me

Here's a 1990 televised panel discussion about the impending first Gulf War, with Ron Paul as host and guests Joseph Sobran and me.

The Constitution no longer poses a serious threat to our form of government.

Best line (from Sobran): "And I think one very good thing about Mr. Bush's manifest incompetence is that it has helped to demolish the old mystique of the all-wise presidency." You said it, Joe!

Rys, Joe gave the Constitution too much credit. It never posed a serious threat to our form of government, as the Anti-federalists and Lysander Spooner recognized.

Who thinks Bush is incompetent? Who could be so obtuse!?

Name one program Bush has failed to make reality!

Bush is perfectly competent at working with his co-conspirators (or puppet-masters if you prefer) to achieve EVERY SINGLE GOAL conceived by the Neocons.

By that measure, Bush could be considered the single most competent person every to hold the Presidency of the Corporation of the U.S.

Of course, if one is still seduced by high school civics, then I could see how one could be deceived.
