Some Things Never Change

The unfortunate thing about this is that my neighbors can act to enslave me and all I can do is try to make a rational appeal to them against this, which almost always seems to fall on deaf ears. In my view, the entire blame for what has happened to our society falls squarely on the citizens, as they have not only allowed this to happen but many have actively aided and abetted the decline, preferring big brother over self governance. Such a sad and discouraging state of affairs for those of us who value the natural rights of all individuals. The tribalism in place of objectivity is horrible in the United States.
