Have a safe trip, Sheldon, and welcome to my neck of the woods -- the OC!

It's a busy weekend for me with the Giants being in the Super Bowl and me hosting a party, but if time permits, I'd love to drop in at the Hilton and listen to your speech.

Peace.

We had a very successful seminar. A great bunch of people showed up. Thanks!

Glad to hear it Sheldon, sorry I couldn't make it after all, but I attended an event you had in Newport Beach a couple of years back and it was very informative.

Oh, and ......... GIANTS ARE WORLD CHAMPIONS!!!

jimi (g-men), were you talking about Hasnas' "Toward a Theory of Empirical Natural Rights"?

Hi Steven, yes, that was the article if memory serves correctly. Not only is Hasnas' logic airtight, but he is entertaining to read as well.

When I converse with people who are new to libertarian thought and they express an interest, I usually refer them to the following current writers, in no particular order:

1. Jacob Hornberger
2. Sheldon Richman
3. John Hasnas
4. Butler Shaffer

There are many libertarian writers out there today, but these four are my favorites because not only are their arguments (usually) crystal clear, consistent and logically sound and valid, but they write in a very accessible and entertaining way.

I could gripe about certain inconsistencies and lapses in judgment here, but I don't want to spoil the good nature I have summoned from I don't know where (something to do with the result of SB XLII???), so I'll leave it there.

Happy reading!

Thanks, jimi. I read a bunch of Butler Shaffer last night. Really good stuff.

Actually, I was rooting for the Patriots, but the Giants certainly deserved to win. For them to beat the Cowboys, Packers and Patriots should make all Giant's fans proud. I'm glad for them (the Patriots will get over it).

If you want to see a funny utube video about the Giants beating the Cowboys, google "hitler cowboy utube" and watch the bloodthirsty dictator - diehard cowboy fan video.
