I find the use of the female pronoun when referring to Manning problematic. Reading and understanding the article was less of an effortless task as it would have been otherwise. While respecting Manning's choice, I still think that there is a conceptual truth behind the gender designation that a sex change does not alter or negate. I would love to read your thoughts on the subject.
