Also worth noting that I'm for bringing Mutual Aid societies back.Shane Skekelnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20077444.post-26857772557404618412015-11-20T06:35:50.268-06:002015-11-20T06:35:50.268-06:00Shane, why do american citizens deserve government...Shane, why do american citizens deserve government benefits but non-citizens do not? Government benefits warp the economic and social environment. When you favor one group over the other, you're not simply denying non-citizens benefits -- you're actively putting them at a disadvantage. An example of this is government college loans. It's well established that the increase in tuition costs have followed the increased availability of loans (among other things). When you implement a college loan program, you artificially pump up tuition prices; when you yank away access to the loans that gave rise to those high tuition prices, you're playing a dirty trick on the group that you're denying.

I don't think the answer is to say "Sure, you can be here, but we're going to F you once you're here." That concept sounds eerily similar to the "Sure, we can legalize pot, but we're going to tax the hell out of it after we do." As libertarians, we shouldn't be making concessions.

I mean, obviously the solution is to just end government benefits, but that's not really on the table...MarkZnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20077444.post-33819151577602872482015-11-14T07:39:43.528-06:002015-11-14T07:39:43.528-06:00Mass person roundups, concentration camps. I know that Obama denies this, and Pat Buchanan, Tom Tancredo, and Jeff Sessions refuse to acknowledge it out of personal pride. As for the Immigration deal: I am opposed to giving immigrants (or anyone else) government benefits, but am also opposed to trying to recreate the Thai-Malay wall on our borders and mass deportations.Shane Skekelhttp://fightingseraph.newgrounds.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20077444.post-21567939740478069842015-11-13T13:44:33.998-06:002015-11-13T13:44:33.998-06:00Sheldon, I think you should read this, in particul...Sheldon, I think you should read this, in particular:

"... Trump is dropping a negotiation anchor with his super-aggressive plan that includes a wall, a change to the constitution for birth rights, and deportation of millions. He has no intention of doing all of that. He is simply creating some false choices to trade away later.
